LAHORE: Former test cricketer Basit Ali has said that it would be a huge success if Pakistan wins series against England with young players.
“It is difficult for Pakistan to win series against England due to home conditions and young squad. We have to see how our team will perform without experienced players like Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan. It will be easier for middle-order and lower-middle order batsmen to score runs,” he said.

Basit Ali added that Asad Ali, Azhar Shafique, and Babar Azam will have to perform well in order to win series. “I think that in the first test match, Fawad Alam should be replaced by Iftikhar Ahmed,” he asserted.
He further said that the loss of not having spectators will be greater to England. “Our team is used to of playing without spectators,” he added. Basit Ali is a former Pakistani cricketer who has played Test and ODI for Pakistan from 1993 to 1996. He was recognized by many to have a similar batting style as Javed Miandad.
