KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan’s armed forces are capable of dealing with any threat.
According to details, PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on a one-day visit. On his arrival in Karachi, he attended the passing out ceremony of the Pakistan Naval Academy.
Addressing the passing out parade at Pakistan Naval Academy, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan Navy has an important role to play in protecting maritime borders. The Navy is a strong force defending the country’s borders and we need a stronger navy more than ever, he said.
“We believe in peace, coexistence and good relations with our neighbors. The Naval Academy is also providing training to friendly countries. Cadets from friendly countries will demonstrate expertise in their forces,” he said.

The prime minister said that women commissioning would be an example for other women of the country and he was happy that women were also included in the commissioning parade. PM Sharif also congratulated the parents of the cadets and midshipmen who received the commission and said that it was a matter of pride to attend the passing out parade.
It may be recalled that during his one-day visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet the MQM and PML-N delegation and also offer condolences to PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on the death of his mother.
