Pakistan’s Amin Mukaty achieved an impressive finish at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, completing the race in 2 hours and 44 minutes, setting a new personal best.
Competing among 50,000 participants from around the world, the young Pakistani athlete significantly improved his record in the 42-kilometer race.
Kenya’s John Korir, 27, won the men’s title with a personal best of 2 hours, 2 minutes, and 44 seconds, as runners paid tribute to the late Kelvin Kiptum. Korir secured his first major marathon victory, finishing ahead of Ethiopia’s Mohamed Esa (2:04:39) and fellow Kenyan Amos Kipruto (2:04:50).

In the women’s race, Kenya’s Ruth Chepngetich set a new world record with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 56 seconds.
