QUETTA: A Pakistan Army officer has been martyred in a firing incident at a check post on the Pak-Iran border in Balochistan.
According to details, terrorists attacked a check post of security forces located on the Pak-Iran border. Lance Naik Zaheer Ahmed of the Pakistan Army was martyred during the exchange of fire.
The Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) said that terrorists opened fire on a check post in Abdul sector of Balochistan, to which a full response was given. According to ISPR, Lance Naik Zaheer Ahmed was martyred while fighting terrorists. The terrorists also suffered casualties due to the retaliatory firing of the Pakistan army.

The Pakistan Army spokesman said that the anti-national elements wanted to sabotage the development and peace of Balochistan and the peace of the country, adding that the soldiers were determined to defeat the terrorists.
It may be recalled that earlier, two Pakistani soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack in North Waziristan. According to Public Relations Department, Pakistan Army (ISPR), a check post of Pakistan Army was targeted by terrorists in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan last month.
