SKARDU: Pakistani mountaineer Sirbaz Khan has vowed to fulfill the dream of Muhammad Ali Sadpara, who was declared dead on Friday, to summit all fourteen 8000 metres peaks in the world.
Taking to Facebook, Sirbaz Khan pointed out that climbing fourteen 8000 metres peaks is considered the biggest achievement in the world of Mountaineering. “My hero Ali Sadpara had the dream of achieving this great milestone for our country,” he added.
“After a long and hard struggle of 25 years, he was successful in climbing 8×8000m peaks – the most by any Pakistani ever. Greatly inspired by Ali Sadpara and his vision, I also joined him in this journey and launched mission 14 summit 2 years ago,” he added.
Sirbaz vowed to continue the journey, saying, “With your prayers, I’ll do everything in my capacity to achieve this great milestone for our beloved Motherland”. He is currently preparing to scale Mount Annapurna in March 2021 and has dedicated the summit exploits to Muhammad Ali Sadpara.
“When I raise the green flag on the summit of Mt Annapurna, it will not be my personal success only. It would be shared by every single Pakistani who wishes to see the green flag raised high,” the young mountaineer added.
