Pakistani delivery rider Muhammad Mohsin Nazir returned a staggering 15,000 AED to a customer who had accidentally overpaid in Dubai. The Polish expatriate, Kajetan Hubner, had intended to pay 1,750 AED but unknowingly handed over 17,050 AED due to a mix-up with the currency notes.
Recalling the incident to Khaleej Times, Kajetan said, “I didn’t realize I had overpaid and thought I’d lost my cash. The next day, he messaged me, explaining that I’d made a mistake and he’d return the money. I couldn’t believe I got it back! We’ve stayed in touch ever since—like brothers.”
For Noon rider Muhammad Mohsin Nazir, the overpayment was a shock. “At the end of my shift, I kept recounting the money and checking the delivery order,” he explained. “I thought my eyes were playing tricks or maybe a zero was missing. I even wondered if it was a huge tip, but nobody tips that much.”
After confirming with colleagues and heeding his mother’s advice, Muhammad reached out to Kajetan to clarify the mistake. He deposited the correct amount to his company and returned the excess the following day.
Moved by Muhammad’s honesty, Kajetan offered him a 300 AED tip, which Muhammad initially declined, saying his true reward was with Allah. The story, shared widely on social media, has since gone viral, showcasing the extraordinary integrity among UAE residents.
