Pakistani cyclist named Ali Ilyas has been honoured with a Silver medal at the Asian Road Cycling Championships in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
This is Pakistan’s first cycling medal in the Asian Cycling Championships since 1962. Dr. Fehmida Mirza, the Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), praised Pakistani cyclist Ali Ilyas for earning a silver medal at the Asian Road Cycling Championships.
“Some happy news amongst all the political dread and gloom,” Dr. Fehmida wrote on Twitter. Ali Ilyas, a Pakistani cyclist, earned a silver medal in the Asian Road Cycling Championships in Dushanbe.

It is our country’s first cycling medal at the Asian Cycling Championships since 1962. The IPC Minister also praised the Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) President Syed Azhar Shah and Secretary Moazzam Khan Klair, as well as their staff, for their tireless efforts to promote cycling, which have begun to yield fruit on a global scale.
