Panic was spread in a neighborhood of India when a 20-domain note of Pakistani currency was found in a residential housing society. The incident happened in Bhookam village located in Pune, which is just 18 km from the National Defence Academy.
According to details, the chairman of the housing society, Sahdev Yadav, saw a Pakistani note near the lift. He immediately informed the other residents and, taking the matter seriously, approached the Baudhan police station. The police immediately started an investigation, but no FIR has been registered yet.
According to Police In-charge Anil Vibhute, there are 84 flats in the society, and a CCTV camera is also installed near the lift, but unfortunately, it has been broken since November 24. Now the police are busy checking other CCTV footage of the area and recording statements of residents to find out how the note ended up here.
The question arises whether the note fell from a passenger’s purse, someone left it as a joke, or is there a deeper story behind it. Especially when the place is located near the NDA, the sensitivity of the matter increases further.
The police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to assess any security threats. With growing concerns over national security, the authorities are being urged to keep an eye on the area and strengthen surveillance.
