A Pakistani artist has recently unveiled a pictorial journey of European country Spain in the form of a coffee table book titled ‘A Walk Through Spain’.
Hailing from Islamabad, an artist named Ammar Zaidi captured the nature of Spain’s historical landscape and beauty in his photobook which has been beautifully narrated by journalist Mawish Moulvi.
According to the narrator, the journey of the book began from Ammar’s trip to Spain where he unveiled the beauty of remote areas of the country. His book has captured the essence of a beautiful village consisting of not more than 1000 people.
Ammar Zaidi in an interview told that he started his work as a hobby and began shooting snaps from the street of Karachi. His framework on Mohatta Palace went noticed by the Spanish Ambassador, who advised Zaidi to cover the nature of Spain excluding Barcelona and Madrid as mostly Pakistanis visit these places.
Zaidi’s pictorial journey began in 2019 and it took 25 days to cover all the remote areas of Spain. Moreover, recently, a ceremony was held for the photobook in Islamabad which was attended by leading representatives from the diplomatic corps, federal government, business community, and civil society.
Speaking at the event, Manuel Durán Giménez-Rico, Spanish Ambassador to Pakistan, said that it is insightful to see how the history of Spain has been depicted. According to him, the author has brilliantly highlighted the intricacies and beauty of Spain’s diverse heritage. “By fostering such avenues of inter-cultural exploration and sharing of experiences, we hope to strengthen the bond between the people of Pakistan and Spain,” the Spanish Ambassador added.
