ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz has asserted that Pakistan and Qatar enjoyed brotherly relations underpinned by common faith and values and the country wants to further strengthen them in all spheres.
The statement came while talking to Ambassador of Qatar Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in Islamabad today (Thursday). Shibli Faraz lauded Qatar’s remarkable economic achievements in different fields, saying that this progress was a source of inspiration for Pakistan.
On the occasion, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani expressed keen interest in investing in different sectors of Pakistan for the mutual benefit of both the countries.
In this regard, Shibli Faraz welcomed Qatar’s keen interest and assured that all possible assistance and support in his future endeavours aimed at furthering Pak-Qatar relations.
The Ambassador of Qatar also expressed deep appreciation over the level of independence enjoyed by media in Pakistan, saying that the growth of private sector media in the country was astounding.
The federal minister further said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was giving due emphasis on imparting quality education to the youth.
“The government is also working to develop a singular national curriculum to ensure fair and equal opportunities to children from various segments of the society to rise and prosper in life,” he concluded.
