KARACHI: A 20-member squad of Pakistan for the upcoming Test series against South Africa will be announced today.
Pakistan cricket team’s Chief Selector Mohammad Waseem will announce the team squad. Pakistan and South Africa will play two test matches and three T20 internationals. The first will start from 26th January in Karachi.
In a statement, Mohammad Waseem expressed hope that the team will perform as per expectations. “Pakistan won’t take it easy on South Africa,” he said.
The Chief Selector said that he was not expecting the squad to repeat the mistakes made during the recent New Zealand tour. This will be the first team selection by Mohammad Waseem who took charge of this designation in November after Misbah-ul-Haq was replaced as head coach.

Moreover, the head coach of the South African cricket team declared Pakistan safe to visit and playing cricket in the country. Boucher expressed relief and said our experts have declared the situation safe for the team. “We have no problem with security in Pakistan,” he asserted.
Head coach Mark Boucher said that Pakistan is regularly introducing good fast bowlers on these wickets who do reverse swing. The wickets are flat there but if you play to your full potential you can score a lot of runs, he added.
