KARACHI: A bearish trend was seen in the 100 index during the business day of the Pakistan Stock Exchange today, it decreased by 121.28 points during the business day.
A total of 179,118,281 shares were traded during today’s business as compared to the previous day’s 164,835,239 shares while 5.568 billion shares were traded against Rs.5.195 billion in the previous business day.
314 companies traded their shares in the stock market. 108 of them increased and 184 decreased in share prices while 22 companies’ share prices remained unchanged.
Colgate Palm saw the highest increase in price per share by Rs 135.12 to close at Rs 1,936.67, while Khyber Textile was the second highest gainer by Rs 42.25 to Rs 625.00 per share.
Unilever Foods gained as much as Rs 1,067.32 per share to close at Rs 23,000.00. While in the second position, Nestle Pakistan closed at Rs 6,890.00 with an increase of Rs 440.00.
Bhaniro Tax lost the most by Rs 95.08 per share to close at Rs 1,172.60. After that, Sapphire Fiber closed down by Rs 87.66 at Rs 1,081.34.
