The weekly inflation rate recorded a minor drop of 0.04 per cent, while the annual inflation rate settled at 0.98 per cent.
According to the latest report from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), prices of 13 essential items increased, 15 became cheaper, and 23 remained unchanged over the past week.
Among the price hikes, bananas saw an increase of Rs12 per dozen, chicken rose by Rs15 per kg, eggs became Rs5.85 per dozen costlier, and sugar went up by Rs1.16 per kg.
Other expensive items included mutton, beef, milk, yogurt, and lentils.
Meanwhile, tomatoes dropped by Rs5.42 per kg, onions by Rs3.63 per kg, and tea packs became Rs24.26 cheaper.
Additionally, LPG, flour, jaggery, and firewood were among the items that saw price reductions.
The prices of bread, cigarettes, matches, clothing, and 23 other items remained stable throughout the week.
