The prominent American defense magazine The National Interest has stated that the aerial skirmish between Pakistani and Indian forces on May 7 ended in a clear victory for Pakistan.
According to the magazine’s report, most defense experts believed that India had the upper hand due to its numerical strength and resources, but Pakistan’s dominance in the May 7 aerial encounter was evident to all.
The report notes that after the skirmish, Pakistan announced major successes, which were not denied by the Indian forces. The lack of denial casts doubt on India’s position.
According to The National Interest, Pakistan shot down five Indian aircraft using Chinese J-10C jets and missiles, including three French-made Rafale jets, which are considered very expensive and powerful.
Additionally, another report from The National Interest mentions that after the news of Pakistan downing five aircraft, including French Rafales, with J-10C jets, the J-10C has taken the internet by storm. Media and social media around the world are abuzz with mentions of the J-10C fighter jet, and as a result, the shares of the company that manufactures the J-10C have risen.
China’s government has remained silent on the entire situation; however, the Chinese public is openly mocking India’s defeat. Chinese social media is flooded with memes about the downed Indian aircraft, and men, women, and children are sharing meme videos related to the fall of Indian jets.
