ISLAMABAD: At least 72 more people have died in Pakistan due to the global coronavirus in the last 24 hours and the total death toll from the virus in the country has reached 24,478.
In the last 24 hours, 3,669 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, according to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC). The total number of corona cases in the country has reached 1.12 million.
According to the NCOC, the overall positive rate during the last 24 hours was 6.8 percent. In the last 24 hours, 53,644 tests were conducted across the country. The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 412,165, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 152,625, in Punjab 372,750, in Islamabad 94,108, in Balochistan 31,583, in Azad Kashmir 29,452 and Gilgit-Baltistan has reached 9,396.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 11,372 people lost their lives while 6,439 in Sindh, 4,668 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 834 in Islamabad, 164 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 335 in Balochistan, and in Azad Kashmir. 666 people have lost their lives.
