KARACHI: The global epidemic of coronavirus has caused 37 more deaths in Pakistan and the total number of deaths has reached 22,848.
The rate of positive cases of the virus in the country has reached 5.25 percent. According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,145 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country.
The total number of people affected by coronavirus has reached 993,872. The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 358,176, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 140,962, in Punjab 351,000, in Islamabad 84,842, in Balochistan 29,190, in Azad Kashmir 22,192 and in Gilgit. In Baltistan, it has reached 7,510.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 10,892 people lost their lives while 5,737 in Sindh, 4,391 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 787 in Islamabad, 120 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 319 in Balochistan, and 602 in Azad Kashmir.
According to the NCOC, so far 4,550,696 people across the country have been given full doses of the coronavirus vaccine while 1,81,85,295 people have been given a single dose.
