KARACHI: Around 47 more people have died from the global epidemic of coronavirus in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 27,374.
In the last 24 hours, another 2,333 coronavirus cases were reported across the country, according to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
The total number of corona cases in the country has reached 1.23 million. According to the NCOC, 51,139 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours and the rate of positive cases was 4.56 percent.

The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 452,267, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,071,874, in Punjab 4,24,701, in Islamabad 1,04,427, in Balochistan 32,796, in Azad Kashmir 33,864 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 10,264.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 12,470 people lost their lives while 7,295 people died in Sindh, 5,444 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 905 in Islamabad, 182 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 345 in Balochistan, and 733 in Azad Kashmir.
