ISLAMABAD: The deadly coronavirus has swallowed 141 lives in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths from the virus in the country reached 25,220.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), coronavirus has been confirmed in 4,199 more people across the country in the past 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 1.135 million 858.
According to the NCOC, 61,410 coronavirus tests were performed across the country in the last 24 hours. The rate of positive cases in the last 24 hours was 6.83 percent. The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 424,139, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 158,243, in Punjab 383,742, in Islamabad 96,980, in Balochistan 31,928, in Azad Kashmir 31,087 and Gilgit-Baltistan has reached 9,739.
The highest number of deaths due to corona was in Punjab where 11,633 people lost their lives while 6,698 in Sindh, 4,839 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 855 in Islamabad, 171 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 338 in Balochistan, and 686 in Azad Kashmir.

On the other hand, after Larkana, the number of HIV/AIDS cases has also increased in Karachi. In this regard, Deputy Director-General of Addiction Diseases Sindh Dr. Irshad Kazmi said in his video statement that according to a conservative estimate, there are 70,000 to 78,000 HIV patients in Sindh, out of which only 13,864 patients are registered.
The victims include 9166 men, 2461 women, 1126 boys, 730 girls, and 421 eunuchs. He said that the number of registered cases of HIV in Larkana has reached 2,430 while in Hyderabad it has reached 1,089. Dr. Irshad Kazmi said that 6,768 cases of HIV have been reported in Karachi. The highest number of patients is in the Central District of Karachi. There are 2,725 cases of HIV in the Central District.
