ISLAMABAD: Around 99 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, while 1 more citizen died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the statistics released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 15,71,295 people have been affected by the coronavirus, while 30,600 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 1.9 percent.
During the last 24 hours, 9,161 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of coronavirus, while the ratio of positive cases was 1.08 percent. The total number of tests has reached 33,329 while 89 patients with coronavirus are in intensive care.

During the last 24 hours across the country, 148 patients have defeated coronavirus, which has brought the number of recovered people to 15,35,109, while the number of active cases has decreased to 5,586. Punjab and Sindh were the most affected by the virus.

In Sindh, 5,93,781 people were affected by coronavirus while 8,236 died. In Punjab, 5,21,842 citizens were affected while 13,610 died. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the third largest province affected by the virus.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,249 people were affected by coronavirus while 6,361 died. In Islamabad, 1,39,340 people were affected by coronavirus while 1,31 died. 44,305 coronavirus cases were reported in Azad Kashmir.

Around 793 people died due to the virus in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In Balochistan, 35,977 citizens have been affected by coronavirus while 378 have lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 12,41 people have been affected by coronavirus while 191 have died.
