ISLAMABAD: At least 5,196 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 15 more people have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,386,348 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 29,137 people lost their lives to the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 51,063 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 246.91 million. Nationwide, the test result was 10.18 percent, while 1,293 patients were in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, coronavirus has been defeated by 1,453 people across the country, bringing the total number of recovering people to 1,271,087.
The highest number of coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab. In Punjab, 467,698 people fell victim to the virus while 13,119 died. In Sindh, 531,008 cases of coronavirus and 7,753 deaths were reported.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186,537 people fell victim to coronavirus while 5,980 died. In Balochistan, 34,032 cases of the virus were reported while 367 people lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 35,734 people were infected with coronavirus and 752 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,526 cases and 187 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 120,813 people were infected with coronavirus and 979 died.
