KARACHI: In recent days, there is a further increase in the cases of dengue virus, according to the health department, dengue virus was confirmed in 289 people in 24 hours.
According to the Health Department, 161 cases were reported in Karachi in the last 24 hours. 48 cases have been reported in Central District, 36 in Eastern District, 32 in Korangi District, 25 in Southern District, and four in Western District.
The Health Department said that 1,66 cases were reported in the month of September. In total, 3, 434 cases have been reported from Karachi so far this year, and nine people have died due to dengue this year.
Another 128 dengue cases were reported in Islamabad. According to the health department, 75 people were infected with dengue in the rural areas of Islamabad. 53 people have tested positive for dengue in urban areas of Islamabad.
The number of dengue patients in rural areas of Islamabad has increased to 553. The number of dengue patients in urban areas of Islamabad has increased to 318. So far 4 people have died due to dengue in Islamabad.
