ISLAMABAD: Around 144 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, with one civilian confirmed to have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Institutes of Health, a total of 1,531,581 people were infected with the coronavirus, and 30,382 died of the virus across the country. The mortality rate remains at 2%.
In the last one day, 11,828 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus while the percentage of positive cases was 1.22%. The total number of tests is 2887107 while 61 patients of coronavirus are in intensive care.

In the last 24 hours, 68 patients of coronavirus have been infected with the virus across the country, bringing the total number of those who have recovered to 1,498,217 while the number of active cases has reached 2,982. The province of Sindh was most affected by a coronavirus.
At least 5,078,00 cases of coronavirus were reported in Sindh. In Punjab, 57,561, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 219,756, while in the federal capital Islamabad, 135,643 people tested positive for coronavirus.
In Gilgit-Baltistan 11,753, in Balochistan 35,506, and in Azad Jammu and Kashmir 43,356 people fell victim to coronavirus while the highest number of deaths were reported in Punjab where 13,565 patients lost their lives to the virus.
After Punjab, the highest number of 8,108 people died in Korona in Sindh. 6,324 people lost their lives in KPK, 1,024 in Islamabad, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 378 in Balochistan, and 792 in Azad Kashmir.
