ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has recorded fresh 3,009 COVID-19 cases and 59 deaths due to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the total number recorded case has reach 382,892 whereas the number of active cases stood at 42,115.
The virus claimed 59 lives as the death toll jumps to 7,803. Over 1,214 patients have recovered from the virus during the last 24 hours while 1,867 patients are in critical condition.
A total of 41,583 tests were conducted across the country during this period. 332,974 people have recovered from the deadly disease while 5,297,703 samples have been tested thus far.
As many as 1,382 fresh coronavirus cases were reported overnight in Sindh while 13 more patients succumbed to the virus.
According to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has reached 166,033 while the death toll soared to 2,858 in the province. A total of 146,957 patients have so far recovered from the virus.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, as many as 382 fresh coronavirus cases were reported during the past 24 hours while nine more patients succumbed to the virus, according to a statement issued by the provincial health department.
The number of people infected with Covid-19 has reached 45,314 while the province’s death toll jumped to 1,339. A total of 40,707 patients have so far recovered from the virus.
Punjab health authorities reported 630 new cases, taking the provincial tally to 115,138. The province’s death toll jumped to 2,879 after the virus claimed 18 more lives in 24 hours.
