RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has assured that the Pakistan Railways stands firmly united with the nation in this crucial time.
Speaking to media in Rawalpindi, Shiekh Rasheed said, “The ministry has arranged a few trains for the coronavirus patients. It can be used at the time of need.”
The railway minister hoped that the railway department will resume its operation from 25th April. “Pakistan Railways might run limited trains by maintaining a distance between passengers and keeping them in isolation from 1st Ramzan,” he said.
The minister said that we should avoid settling political affairs at this time as this is not the time to do politics. He also stressed that a single strategy is required under the current circumstances.
Earlier, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that those who are involved in corruption would be punished. “There will be action against any minister, including me if he is found guilty in creating the wheat and sugar crisis,” he said.
Sheikh Rasheed further said that Pakistan can defeat coronavirus pandemic through national unity, discipline, and awareness. “The situation regarding coronavirus pandemic is controlled in Pakistan,” he asserted. The federal minister also donated Rs 50.1 million to the coronavirus fund.
