AUCKLAND: Pakistan has started on a very bad note as they chase an imposing-looking 373 runs target set by New Zealand.
On the fourth day of the match, New Zealand started their second innings. One hundred and eleven runs were shared between the openers. Tom Blundell was bowled by Muhammad Abbas. Naseem Shah dismissed Tom Latham for 139. Captain Ken Williamson scored 21 and Henry Nichols scored 11. Watling was out for 180 when New Zealand declared the innings.
New Zealand opener Tom Latham played an innings of 53 off 112 balls. Kiwi opener Tom Blundell played an innings of 64 off 107 balls. In pursuit of the target, both the openers of the Pakistani team Shan Masood and Abid Ali got out on zero which has strengthened the position of New Zealand.

The Pakistani openers had a disappointing start in pursuit of the 373-run target. Pakistan lost two wickets without opening an account. In the second over, Abid Ali and in the third, Shaun Masood returned to the pavilion without scoring any runs.
New Zealand scored 431 in their first innings and Pakistan scored 299. Muhammad Rizwan Ashraf Fahim said the responsible innings saved the game follow the team online.
