RAWALPINDI: Pakistani authorities on Tuesday handed over the body of an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) soldier to Indian officials, said the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.
According to the military’s media wing, Indian BSF soldier Sub-Inspector Paritosh Mondal had drowned while crossing ‘Aik Nullah’ along the Working Boundary, inside Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The body of the deceased soldier swept towards the Pakistani side. The Indian BSF requested Pakistan Rangers to search the body, said the ISPR.
Pakistan Rangers Punjab undertook a search operation, recovered the body and handed over to the Indian BSF today as per the military procedure, added the ISPR.
