DOHA:Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan fully supported Kuala Lumpur summit aimed at enhancing Muslim nations existing potential for collective development and shared prosperity.
Addressing at the second Kuala Lumpur Summit Ministerial Meeting in Doha, the foreign minister said the challenges of governance, development, climate change, terrorism and rising Islamophobia, warranted an integrated and comprehensive response.
The foreign minister said with juggernaut of globalization causing a civilisational and cultural erosion. Therefore, it is imperative for the Muslim world to tread a cautious path.
Muslim countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey and Qatar on the call of host Malaysia are participating in the ministerial meeting in Doha, prior to the main summit to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 18th of the current month.

Earlier Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has arrived in Qatar on a one-day official visit. He was welcomed by the chief protocol officer of the foreign office, Pakistani High Commissioner and other staff.
Yesterday, FM Qureshi, during his two-day official visit to Colombo had called on newly-elected President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa and discussed bilateral relations, regional situation and matters of mutual interest.
On behalf of Pakistani leadership and nation, the foreign minister felicitated Rajapaksa on his election as the seventh President of Sri Lanka.
