The Pakistan Express going to Rawalpindi has met with a major accident; the train’s carriages derailed, as reported by national media.
According to details, the carriages of Pakistan Express derailed near Mubarakpur Station. Officials say that 2 carriages of the Pakistan Express going to Rawalpindi have derailed.
The railway officials state that the AC Standard and Dining Car carriages derailed. The dining car carriage fell into the ditch due to the wheel separating. Due to the derailment, railway traffic on both the up and down tracks was suspended.
Because of the accident, several trains have been stopped at different stations. According to railway officials, the Allama Iqbal Express going to Sialkot has been stopped at Ahmadpur Station, and the Tezgam going to Rawalpindi has been stopped at Liaqatpur Station.
Karachi Express and Millat Express have been stopped at Khanpur Station, Bahuddin Express going to Multan has been stopped at Rahim Yar Khan Station, while a relief train from Multan has been dispatched towards the accident site.
