At the United Nations, Pakistan has condemned the visit to the al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israel’s new far-right security minister.
Speaking for the OIC group at the United Nations, deputy permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN Ambassador Aamir Khan said we strongly demand that such acts have to be stopped and they have to be stopped, forthwith.
The Pakistani envoy said that the OIC group met prior to the Security Council meeting at the request of Palestine’s Permanent Observer to the UN Ambassador Riaz Mansour, and strongly condemned Israel minister Itamar Ben-Gviri’s action.
He said we have to deal with such situations with the strength and the force of international law.

Earlier, Pakistan strongly condemned “insensitive and provocative” Israeli minister’s visit to Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque’s compound.
Foreign Office spokesperson said Al-Aqsa is a holy site revered by Muslims around the world. Violation of its sanctity offends the religious sensitivities of Muslims and inflames an already tense situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The spokesperson said Israel must cease its illegal actions and respect the sanctity of Muslim religious sites in the occupied Palestinian territories.
