Pakistanis are celebrating Eid ul Fitr today with deep religious devotion, gathering in mosques, Eidgahs, and open spaces for special prayers. These prayers included supplications for national security, prosperity, and the well-being of fellow Muslims, especially those in Palestine.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the nation, as reported by state-run Radio Pakistan.
In their messages, both leaders highlighted the values of joy, gratitude, unity, and compassion that Eid fosters.
President Zardari emphasized the significance of solidarity, urging citizens to support one another in advancing Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. He also prayed for the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir, seeking divine intervention for their freedom and the opportunity to celebrate Eid in peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the challenges facing Pakistan, warning of threats from internal and external adversaries. He called for national unity to counter extremism, sectarianism, and hatred, stressing that vigilance is essential to safeguarding the country’s stability.
