ISLAMABAD: Pakistani cabinet has approved the Halal authority rules for the Pakistan Halal Authority (PHA) after five years.
On Wednesday, rules to enable the operation of Halal authority in the country got approved after a delay of almost five years. The PHA is responsible to work out the Halal status for products, processes, and services maintained in the local market as well as products being imported and exported from the country.

While taking on his Twitter handle, Shibli Faraz wrote, “Alhamdulillah! Another milestone was achieved. Halal Authority Rules and Regulations pending since 2016 approved by the federal cabinet.”
