DOHA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Qatar.
According to the details, PM Shehbaz Sharif has met the delegation of Qatar Investment Authority consisting of Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Investment Authority Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud and Chief Investment Officer for Africa and the Asia Pacific Regions Sheikh Faisal Sani Al-Thani in Doha.
In the meeting, it was agreed that the nominated representatives from both sides will maintain close contact regarding the implementation of important proposals for investment.
Appreciating the rapid economic development of Qatar under the visionary leadership of the Emir of Qatar, PM Shehbaz Sharif reiterated in the meeting that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Qatar and that the traditional political relations between the two countries should be a comprehensive one.
PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need to further promote bilateral economic and investment ties, especially in the renewable energy sector, including solar energy, wind power generation, aviation, shipping, industrial and infrastructure development, and hospitality.
He highlighted Pakistan’s liberal and business-friendly investment policies and invited Qatari investors to invest in Pakistan in energy, aviation, agriculture and livestock, maritime, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
Shehbaz Sharif also urged the Qatari investors to take advantage of the opportunities created by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor for regional connectivity and mutual prosperity.

The prime minister also assured to provide full facility to Qatar Investment Authority in terms of transparent and speedy handling of matters while the prime Minister appreciated the interest of Qatar Investment Authority for investment in Pakistan.
PM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Mansoor Bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud and Sheikh Faisal Thani Al Thani to visit Pakistan. The delegation of the Qatar Investment Authority expressed keen interest in finding investment and investment opportunities in Pakistan while declaring Pakistan as their priority.
It should be remembered that Qatar Investment Authority is one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. This was the prime minister’s first engagement immediately after arriving in Doha on a two-day official visit. Important cabinet members and senior officials accompanied the prime minister.
