Pakistani security forces successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing at least 30 terrorists.
The operation targeted the presence of Khwarij militants, based on credible intelligence. During the operation, the security forces engaged the terrorists effectively, resulting in the elimination of 30 militants.
The operation continues, with the forces determined to rid the area of any remaining terrorist elements.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the army for their actions. In a statement, the president expressed his gratitude to the security forces and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the nation.
He also acknowledged the success of the operation in eradicating the threat of terrorism.
PM Shehbaz commended the sacrifices of the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and reiterated the government’s commitment, alongside the armed forces, to completely eliminate terrorism from the country.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi also applauded the security forces for their successful operation in South Waziristan, which resulted in the death of thirty terrorists.
He expressed admiration for the bravery of the troops and their efforts in foiling terrorist plans.
