RAWALPINDI: The first match of the five-match T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium today.
Rawalpindi will host the first three matches of the series while the remaining two matches will be played in Lahore. Captain Babar Azam and Kiwi captain Michael Bracewell participated in a pre-series photo shoot followed by a press conference. The trophy was unveiled before the training session. Later, both teams had a practice session.
The New Zealand team reached the capital on Sunday to play the series against Pakistan. Officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board welcomed the team at the airport from where they were taken to the hotel amid tight security.
The preparations of both the teams for the match between Pakistan and New Zealand are complete, and the star fast bowler of the Pakistan team, Muhammad Amir, is likely to be seen in action once again.
On the other hand, rain has been predicted in Rawalpindi today due to which the match is also feared to be affected.
