ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has allowed the citizens of Afghanistan to avail free tests of coronavirus disease.
The facility to the Afghani patients over free coronavirus testing has been given on the humanitarian ground on the request by the Afghan government.
The test would be conducted at the National Institute of Health (NIH). The Afghan government can send samples of the suspected patients to Islamabad.
The testing kits have been imported from China and the reports are given to the patients within 24-hours of the test conducted.
Coronavirus has affected more than 1000 people in China until now. earlier today, a Pakistani student in Wuhan city of China failed to attend his father’s funeral in Pakistan as he was not permitted by Pakistani authorities to fly back home.
In the same regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting today with Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfikar Bukhari in Islamabad to discuss the current situation of Pakistani students stuck in China because of coronavirus disease.
