LAHORE: Pakistan resumed their first innings on 90-1, trailing Australia by 301 runs, on the third day of the third and deciding Test of the historic series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
Openers Abdullah Shafiq and Azhar Ali are on the wicket with half-centuries. Abdullah Shafiq (56) and Azhar Ali (50) are batting against the Australian bowlers.
The duo combined in an unbroken stand of 70 to launch Pakistan’s solid response to Australia’s first innings total of 391 on the second day on Tuesday, after the departure of Iman-ul-Haq, who was sent back to the pavilion by Aussie skipper Pat Cummins.
