Sajid’s spin bowling proved to be effective immediately, as he took two back to back wickets on the first two balls he bowled. His first delivery turned sharply, finding the gap between Mikyle Louis’ bat and pad before it struck the stumps.
Keacy Karty was sent off on the very next ball. This time Sajid’s delivery bounced a little higher, hitting what seemed to be Karty’s handle. Debutant Muhammad Hurraira took an incredible juggling catch as he leapt to his right.
Sajid wasnt done yet. He took two more wickets in his next over. West Indies skipper Brathwaite was bowled after he missed a sweep attempt. A few balls later Kavem Hodge chipped Sajid’s delivery right back to him and suddenly, the West Indies found themselves down four in five overs.
Noman Ali took the next three wickets, beginning with the dismissal of Justin Greaves in the 10th over. After he bowled Greaves, Nomas dismissed Tevin Imlach for an lbw in his next over. Noman continued the streak in the next over, dismissing Alick Athanaze with another lbw.
He wasnt done yet, taking yet another wicket in four consecutive over. It was Kevin Sinclair, who had to leave the field after his shot was caught by Kamran Ghulam at long-off. Noman completed his five wicket haul in the 22nd over by bowling Gukadesh Motie.
Jayden Seales was the last man to fall for West Indies. It was Abrar Ahmed taking his first and only wicket of the innings, on a delivery that was caught by Rizwan after Seales sliced it in the air.
The West Indies were all out for 137 runs. Sixty percent of their runs came from their last four batters.
