QUETTA: The Chaman-Spin Boldak border between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been opened for trade on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to the customs officials, more than 50 transit, export trucks and containers have been permitted to enter Afghanistan in the first stage after security approval.
They said the vehicles were carried fresh fruits, vegetables and other goods to Afghanistan, adding that pedestrian crossing, however, remains stopped.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that in the time of crisis, Pakistan will remain steadfast with Afghanistan.
