ISLAMABAD: PM’s Special Assistant on Health, Dr. Zafar Mirza has said that overall 700,000 passengers have so far been screened across Pakistan.
While chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Thursday), Dr. Zafar Mirza hassaid that screening was being ensured at all airports, while separate rooms were allocated in the hospitals.
He assured that every possible step was being taken by the federal government to cope with coronavirus outbreak.
PM’s Special Assistant said that the federal and provincial governments were fully ready to meet the challenge and to protect the people from COVID-19.
He further added that only five cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Pakistan.
The newly diagnosed virus has claimed lives of over 3000 people across the world and almost 90,000 have been infected around the world.
