LAHORE: An independent adjudicator on Monday reserved order on Umar Akmal’s appeal after listening to the arguments of both sides.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), former Supreme Court judge Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar (retd), in his capacity as an independent adjudicator, reserved his order on Umar Akmal’s appeal.
Earlier in April, the Chairman of the Disciplinary Panel, Mr. Justice (retired) Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan, banned Akmal for three years after finding him guilty of breaching Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code in two separate incidents.
However, in May, the PCB appointed former Supreme Court judge as an independent adjudicator to hear Akmal’s appeal against the three-year ban imposed by the board.
