KARACHI: PTI and opposition parties will protest against the local government ordinance. Sixteen women members of the PTI National Assembly along with Federal Minister Ali Zaidi reached Karachi from the federal capital and will participate in the protest today.
According to sources, arrangements have been finalized by the united opposition for the protest against the Sindh government at the Press Club. United Opposition sources said that the workers would march in a convoy and reach Press Club via Shahra-e-Qaedin and Shara-e-Faisal.
Opposition parties Tehreek-e-Insaf and Grand Democratic Alliance will also take part in today’s protest against the Sindh Government Local Government Act and controversial delimitations. According to the united opposition, a new battle against the Sindh government will begin on Saturday and this protest will open the eyes of the PPP as to who is in the majority and who is in the minority.
At least 16 women members of PTI along with Federal Minister Ali Zaidi reached Karachi from Islamabad to participate in the protest. Ali Zaidi said that women members of the National Assembly have reached Karachi to participate in the protest at Karachi Press Club. Today’s protest will deprive the rulers of the province of sleep.
Zaidi said that a large number of citizens of Karachi would participate in the protest on Saturday. He would tell the incompetent rulers of Sindh that the people of Karachi have stood up for their rights.
“We will not allow the Zardari mafia to take over the rights of the people, said Ali Zaidi by adding that the movement against the black law imposed by the Sindh government is not going to stop now. “I will make an important announcement in a conversation with the media on Saturday,” he said.
