KARACHI: The roof of a building under construction in the Defense area has been collapsed killing one worker and two others injured.
The accident took place in a house under construction in Khayaban Nishat where the roof suddenly collapsed and several workers were buried under the rubble.
A rescue operation is underway to remove the rubble, they rushed to the spot after the accident. One worker and two injured workers were recovered from under the rubble.
On the other hand, a six-storey building was being constructed on a plot of 40 yards in the Baghdadi area of Karachi when the building collapsed.
Director SBCA Muhammad Zaheer said that the construction of the building was going on without any plan but the structure of the building has left its place. A few weeks earlier, cracks had appeared in another residential building in Karachi.
