ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the government for lowering prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight, it emerged on Sunday.
According to media reports, the price of petrol can be reduced by five to seven rupees and the price of diesel has been proposed to be reduced by eight rupees per liter.
However, the government may decide to keep the prices of petrol and diesel unchanged.
On the OGRA recommendations, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will consult with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. A final decision regarding prices of petroleum products will be taken today (Sunday).

The new petroleum product prices will be in effect starting at midnight for the subsequent 15 days. It’s worth mentioning that the Brent oil market’s crude oil price remained at 77.72 dollars per barrel.
