ASHGABAT: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has arrived in Turkmenistan on an official tour, where he was given a warm welcome.
According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was welcomed in Turkmenistan by the Pakistani Ambassador and senior officials of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During his visit, Qureshi will meet with other senior officials, including Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Rashid Meredov. During the visit, discussions will be held on the promotion of bilateral cooperation in various fields and the situation in the region, including Afghanistan, and foreign affairs.

Earlier, FM Qureshi met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the meeting, the foreign minister conveyed a message of good wishes from Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Uzbek President. FM Qureshi, referring to the prime minister’s recent visit to Uzbekistan, also vowed to further strengthen bilateral relations in multilateral fields.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to bilateral relations with Pakistan. He said that Uzbekistan hopes to promote bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest, especially in transport and coordination.
