Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that the number of Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) has crossed the number of 6,00,000.
In the statement issued by the State Bank, it has been stated that 10,597 Roshan Digital Accounts were opened in August 2023, after which the number of RDAs has increased to 6,06,865.
According to the announcement of central bank, so far 06 billion 617 million dollars have been deposited in Roshan digital accounts while 01 billion 484 million dollars have been withdrawn in 36 months.

The statement said that 4.0006 billion dollars in Roshan Digital Accounts were used locally and the outstanding deposits in RDAs till August 2023 are 1.128 billion dollars.
Roshan Digital Account is a facility available to non-resident Pakistanis, this facility allows Pakistani nationals living abroad to have access to banking services within Pakistan without having to visit a consulate, embassy, or a physical bank branch
