RAWALPINDI: Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has claimed that he was not taken into confidence for the lockdown.
While talking to media reporters, the railway minister said that the trains were likely to be closed tonight, all trains would stop after reaching the destination tonight.
Sheikh Rasheed said that it was the responsibility of the federal government to help people’s problems and in the present situation. The decision to stop 46 trains would be halted today.
The railway minister said that if all the reservation tickets will be returned to the passengers by the passage of time.
Minister Railway said that people that were coming from Sindh, most people on 40 trains will depart from Sindh today.
He said that Sindh was not facing problems in Punjab but there were problems in Sindh and no train could be stopped on the way.
He said that after consultation with the Prime Minister Imran Khan, he would announce it today, taking recommendations and the final decision would be made by Prime Minister.
He earlier announced that no railway activities would be suspended amid coronavirus fear. Sheikh Rasheed said that while following the precautions required, we need to keep going about our lives.
