ISLAMABAD: Provincial Minister of Sindh for Labour Saeed Ghani has said that not a single shot was fired during local elections in Karachi.
According to the details, speaking to the media outside the Election Commission of Pakistan office in Islamabad, Saeed Ghani said that according to the opinion of our lawyer, the applicant is not a candidate. The person going to court must be the aggrieved party, he said.

During the conversation with the media, Ghani said that the candidate who loses the election and thinks that he has been abused can file an application in the Election Commission. An official of Jamaat-e-Islami submitted the application on behalf of 6 USCs, he maintained.

During the conversation, The provincial minister said that there is no scope for a joint application by Jamaat-e-Islami in the law. “Our lawyer said that the application is illegal. On the first appearance, it was said that we are ready for recounting,” he said.
The People’s Party leader said that our lawyer said that the Election Commission should conduct a recount of votes in 6 USCs under its supervision, and whatever the result, we will accept it. However, the Election Commission did not decide according to the opinion of our lawyer.
