Talking to media at Parliament House here on Monday, he however said the process of appointing new Army Chief had begun.
The remarks by Khawaja Asif came minutes after his party Senator Dr Afnanullah took to Twitter and said a summary had been moved from the Defense Ministry to the PM House.

The news by Dr Afnanullah, that summary comprising 5 senior Generals was sent to PM house, triggered a storm after which some reports even claimed the names of those Generals in their news bulletins.
However, Khawaja Asif said the haste in media was incomprehensible, adding that consultations were underway with allies on this and on every issue, and the names for the post of Army Chief would be discussed only when a summary was received.
Minutes later, Khwaja Asif took to Twitter and said the process of appointing new Army Chief had begun, and the same would be accomplished as per constitutional requirements.
