DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor removed, Gen Babar takes over

ISLAMABAD: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said that they would not allow anyone to harm national stability.
According to sources, the DG also maintained that Pakistan Army is a national institution which always supports the elected government as it respects constitution and law of the country.

While answering the questions regarding the transparency of the polls, the Army spokesperson said that Army has completed its constitutional responsibilities in the elections.
DG ISPR also assured that the government committee and opposition committee are negotiating to come up with a considerable solution.  
Regarding on-going JUI-F led anti-government march; he said the issues can’t be resolved on the streets.

He urged opposition to use their constitutional right and take all the allegations against Army to the relevant departments.
DG ISPR also suggested to solve problems democratically, added sources.

While answering one of the questions, he said the Army and the people of Pakistan have fought against terrorism for two decades and have made many sacrifices for peace.
