In a bid to reduce the financial strain on families in their pursuit to provide good quality education for their children from private schools, the Sindh government refrained private schools from collecting any kind of fee other than an admission and monthly tuition fee.
Private institutions, the directorate added in a notice, shall not collect additional charges from the parents.
The notice adds that if there is even a single instance of a private school in the province, which is beyond admission and tuition fees collection, such instances can be reported to the government who will address them accordingly.
Parents in Pakistan have had to deal with rising private school fee for years as the cost of living continues to increase while earning income remains stagnant. An average household struggle to maintain a balanced budget and often be compelled to forgo its needs for personal needs to prioritize their kids’ educational expenditure.
